Contributing to an accredited external quality assessment service in molecular diagnostics, ensuring high-quality laboratory medicine locally, nationally, and globally. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing routine sample processing tasks such as DNA concentration measurements, aliquoting, and sample quality assessment.
• Preparing samples for analysis by GenQA EQAs participants.
• Conducting internal and external quality control, escalating anomalies to the Operational Manager.
• Managing stock control and ordering laboratory consumables/reagents to ensure availability.
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting results as required.

Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the teaching labs. The role consisted of the following:
o Responsible for the smooth delivery of lab practical classes for both undergraduate and
postgraduate students.
o Assisted with the IGEM synthetic biology competition and provided teaching support to students on the IGEM team.
o Ensured that all health and safety protocol were adhered to in the lab.
o Responsible for providing lab-based research assistance.
o Enhanced lab protocols for better efficiency.
