• Through working at the chemist, I developed skills in general retail operations in a pharmacy
• Helping stock shelves, product placement, being respectful of how stock is handled and displayed, helping other staff fill orders including online orders, general tidying and cleaning in the store and serving/ greeting customers.

• I helped the children with arts and crafts, reading them books
• Supervise and monitor the safety of the children in my care
• Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children
• Help children keep good hygiene (blowing their nose, toilet etc.)
• Assist in naptime and settling the children down.

Volunteering here improved my multi tasking skills and problem solving. Working with Children and talking to their parents improved my communication and taught me conflict resolution.

Volunteering at Baptist Care Maranoa I learned how to actively listen to the Elderly and how to be patient and understanding of their needs. I also learned leadership skills by giving instructions to dance routines, morning tea time and other activities.
