Hobart Magistrates Court, Coronial Division, 11/27/23, 12/15/23, In late 2023 I undertook a two-week internship alongside her Honour; Chief Coroner Olivia McTaggart at the Hobart Magistrates Court in the Coronial Division. During this period, I helped to draft coronial findings, attended meetings with the coroner and other colleagues and sorted evidence for coronial investigations that are still ongoing. This internship required much attention to detail and a detailed knowledge of the law and legislation, particularly the Tasmanian Coroners Act. The internship also required that confidentiality be maintained over all matters still being investigated by the coroner. Overall, I really enjoyed the internship and gained a lot of invaluable knowledge and experience from it.

We had a taxation problem which required extensive amounts of research for the written submissions and the actual moot itself. We then mooted in front a member of the administrative Appeals Tribunal for rounds 1 and 2.
  • Michael Kirby mooting competition, 07/01/22, 10/31/22, Senior Counsel, From July – October of 2022, I participated in the annual Michael Kirby mooting competition as senior counsel. I was a part of a team, where we had to write written submissions and moot for both the applicant and respondent. Both tasks required extensive research and teamwork to complete. The national competition was held in Melbourne over four days where we made the semi-finals.
