  • Continual management of critically unwell patients in an intense, fast-paced clinical environment
  • Medication preparation and administration, including drugs of dependence, vasoactive drugs, anaesthetic drugs, management of 'patient-controlled analgesia' devices (PCAs), and other intravenous infusions.
  • Management of invasive devices, such as arterial lines, central venous lines (CVC), peripheral central lines (PICC), and peripheral venous cannulas.
  • Wound care, drain removal. Assessment and management of various types of drains.
  • Continuous patient monitoring and assessment, including titration of potent medications, observing and responding to vital signs, and cardiac monitoring for deteriorations or improvements. Looking after patients that solely rely on temporary pacing post-cardiac surgery.
