• Interpersonal Relationships: my recent professional experience has been in boutique practices where my focus has been providing high quality, individualised dentistry. Working in a broad range of settings throughout my career has meant I have gained experience in treating patients with a wide range of social, emotional and physical needs. My relationships with patients are built on a genuine curiosity about their lives and interest in their wellbeing.
• Flexibility: throughout my career as a dental hygienist, I have gained invaluable experience working in diverse locations. This has meant that I very easily adapt to changes in work environments and am familiar with multiple dental management software programs. I work well autonomously and thrive in a team setting.
• Written and Verbal Communication: through my years of experience as both a dental nurse and dental hygienist, I have developed effective and empathetic communication skills. These skills were further developed through my experience as a clinical educator; a role which required me at times to manage up to ten students and their patients in a calm and professional manner. My communication skills have been exhibited through the delivery of learning materials to students both on-line, as well as face to face lecture format. My written communication skills were advanced through my studies in the humanities where I obtained first class honours.
