Role:

Contributed to Fortescue’s decarbonisation goals through the development and implementation of innovative 6MW and 3MW fast-charging technologies for heavy mining equipment. Played a key role in delivering the world’s first 6MW fast charger, supporting the transition to zero-emission operations in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducted detailed electrical demand, cable sizing, and protection coordination studies.
• Designed, developed and maintained Single line diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, General arrangements cable schedules, BOMs, and equipment lists.
• Utilized ETAP for power system modelling, including load flow, fault analysis, and arc flash studies.
• Designed power distribution panels, PLCs, and marshalling cabinets for integration into broader control systems.
• Participated in project meetings, ensuring electrical engineering delivery alignment.
• Overlooked into the AC/DC conversion technologies, High voltage DC systems and the high level HV AC power protection systems.
• Involved in the reviewing and the signing off process on electrical drawing issued for construction.
• Acted as the key liaison between electrical, Mechanical and control systems teams, ensuring clear communication and successful integration of electrical and automation interfaces.

Key Achievements:

• Improved system safety and performance in the fast charger workshop by accurately modelling electrical systems and optimizing protection schemes.
• Led the electrical scope of a sub-project focused on validating the KUKA robot's compliance and performance for testing applications, ensuring delivery within tight deadlines.
• Successfully delivered the electrical scope design, commissioning, and as-built documentation phases of the robot testing system, working closely with electricians to provide precise drawings and ensure all components—cables and equipment were properly sourced and delivered.
• Acted as the key liaison between electrical, Mechanical and control systems teams, ensuring clear communication and successful integration of electrical and automation interfaces.
• Took ownership of the electrical design and delivery for a pilot project involving the prototype 3MW fast charger, contributing to Fortescue’s transition to zero-emission solutions.

Role:

Provided maintenance and reliability support for the world’s first zero-emissions, autonomous haul truck for mines at Fortescue’s Heavy Mobile Equipment Facility, supporting the company’s decarbonisation and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performed preventative and corrective maintenance on Liebherr electric trucks.
• Supported engineering reviews to integrate new systems and address fleet-wide technical problems.

Role:
Supported on Electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and project execution across Fortescue, Eliwana Fixed Plant Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Involved in troubleshooting and electrical maintenance to support continuous plant operations.
• Analysed downtime trends and delivered engineering solutions during outages on VSDs and other motor systems.
• Developed and updated single-line diagrams, scopes of work, and project documentation for new development initiatives; oversaw the full lifecycle from design and implementation to commissioning and results analysis.
• Configured and tested power protection systems, including VSDs, Pilz Relays, SEL Relays, and Simocodes.
• Calibrated and programmed level sensors, radars, sonic detectors, and weightometers for accurate process monitoring.
• Utilised SAP for generating work orders, managing maintenance tasks, and tracking asset records.
• Led fixed plant upgrade projects during shutdowns to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
• Worked collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and control systems engineers to coordinate inputs and ensure seamless integration during system connections and commissioning.

• Programmed radar sensors to reduce false tripping caused by dust accumulation in the bins which impacted 40% of the electrical downtime.
• Reduced electrical downtime by 80% by identifying key contributing factors and implementing targeted solutions, effectively minimizing production delays.
• Proactively led safety improvement initiatives, including projects aimed at reducing the need for working at heights.
• Initiated a project to install QR codes on plant equipment linking to manuals and SWIs, significantly reducing troubleshooting time during downtimes.

Supported the assessment and development of onshore wind projects for hydrogen and grid-connected systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisted in site resource analysis, constraints mapping, and layout design.
• Conducted wind measurement campaigns: site selection, equipment deployment, data collection.
• Reviewed wake modelling approaches and third-party assessments for accuracy.
• Developed process documentation for internal wind engineering practices.
• Prepared commissioning reports for measurement instruments to ensure bankability.

• Designed interactive dashboards in Tableau for real-time wind resource monitoring.
• Improved modelling practices by integrating industry-leading parameters.

Role:
Supported the design, testing, and commissioning of residential solar PV systems in a renewable energy company focused on sustainable electrical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Designed solar PV systems using PVsell based on site-specific parameters.
• Conducted inverter testing, commissioning, and Wi-Fi configuration.
• Gained practical exposure to Australian standards for electrical installations.
• Collaborated with team members, showcasing strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Role:
Assisted in electrical design and documentation activities for infrastructure projects in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
