Customer Service & Sales:
- Handle customer inquiries, sales, and returns both via phone and in person, ensuring a positive experience.
- Process transactions accurately while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Assist customers in locating products and check store systems for stock and availability.
- Offer detailed product knowledge and comparisons to help customers make informed decisions.
- Build rapport with repeat customers, fostering long-term loyalty and repeat service.
- Use consultative sales techniques to recommend relevant products and services.
- Communicate with customers regarding current lead times and deliveries.
Order Management:
- Manage in-store sales, ensuring cross-selling and up-selling of products.
- Process phone and email sales, recommending premium options and related items.
- Oversee laybys and custom orders, confirming details with customers and suppliers.
- Advise delivery dates and ensure smooth order and delivery coordination.
- Handle order follow-ups and customer communication regarding delivery or product updates.
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Manage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing overstock or out-of-stock situations.
- Verify deliveries and manage goods receipt.
- Track stock levels and discrepancies, reordering stock when necessary.
- Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Customer & Supplier Communication:
- Manage general inquiries, sales, supplier communications, quotes, and purchase orders via email.
- Follow up with customers for order status, delivery updates, and product inquiries.
- Handle inbound phone calls related to service inquiries, new sales, and past orders.
- Provide customers with custom quotes and follow through to order completion.
Administrative & Operational Support:
- Support management with administrative tasks like stock takes and updating retail forms.
- Manage efficient cash register operations and ensure accurate till balancing.
- Open and close the store, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Handle any payment discrepancies, process refunds, and maintain accurate records.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, without escalating to management.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure repeat business.
- Inform customers about warranties, terms, conditions, and return/exchange policies.
- Communicate delivery site requirements and expectations clearly to customers.
Financial & Profit Management:
- Track purchase orders, costs, and sales to calculate profit margins.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of the till and digital records at the end of each day.
Team Coordination & Support:
- Advise the factory of incoming orders and ensure timely processing.
- Assist other staff with product inquiries, sales support, and training on retail software.
