Payroll
• Collated, coordinated and reconciled the monthly pay run for each of the 3 business entities. This included reviewing payroll reports for accuracy and completeness, liaising with Finance for approval/release of funding and working with the outsource provider to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensured appropriate supporting materials are provided as evidence of approved payroll changes (contracts, letters, employee requests etc).
• Liaised as necessary with external parties (salary packaging, novated leasing companies and Child Support Agency) for the resolution of enquiries and employee requests/services.

Business Support
• Managed the daily workflow between the outsourced payroll provider and the 29Metals business units. This included tracking and managing the relevant email inbox.
• Assisted employees with general payroll enquiries. Work to resolve identified problems/issues, escalating these as necessary.
• Conducted regular checks and audits of data to ensure it remains current and consist across the entities.
• Ensured the organisation chart in the payroll system is maintained to accurately reflect current reporting relationships and role assignments.
• Assisted in the effective onboarding and offboarding of employees. This includes supporting the transfer of
employees across business units.
• Provided a first point of support for end-users of the outsourced payroll application/web-portal.
• Calculate and processed payment of incentives and remuneration reviews (both quarterly and annually).
• Worked with external auditors to provide information and ensure compliance of the payroll function.

Key Achievement
My role with Transport Focus was diverse; it included project administration and support for their research and stakeholder liaison work. I also provided advice to others where applicable and worked in cross organisational project teams to support the delivery of project objectives.
Whilst working for the Department of Health I was responsible for providing payroll services to several large branches, including primary responsibility for Child and Adolescent Health Services, Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital (8000+ employees).
