- Key accountabilities during this time included: Coordination of patient services in relation to all aspects of care delivery in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; Unit management including monitoring goods and services, equipment, maintenance and expenditure; Staff management including direction, coordination and supervision; Fostering an atmosphere conducive to the Elevate principles; Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement across both units; Practicing and ensuring other team members practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s professional standards, NSW Health Code of Conduct and CORE values and lastly; Promote and participate in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs to achieve the best possible health outcomes for patients whilst fostering a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation; Facilitate patient flow across QDH IPU and COU, theatres, maternity, emergency department, Canberra Hospital and Southern New South Wales Local Health District; Casual After-Hour Nurse Manager shifts, including on-call overnight, when required and Ag Care Navigator when required to cover Christmas and annual leave
