Currently working as a BioScience laboratory technician at Nanosonics, where I work as a part of a R&D team that is responsible for carrying out testing on medical devices

Responsibilities:

• Analyse, interpret, and report microbiological data with high attention to detail and data accuracy
• Performed testing and quality control using approved laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
• Ensure that test data and documentation is maintained in accordance with ISO13485 and GLP requirements where appropriate
• Ensure work is carried out appropriately under QMS policies and procedures
• Kept laboratory supplies prepared by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt

• Managed to perform testing and deliver data within specified timeframes
• Met yearly KPIs

Worked as a laboratory technician at ALS, I was responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the microbiology lab

Responsibilities:

• Turnaround/workflow management and stock control responsibilities
• Carrying out microbiology testing (i.e Plate count, membrane filtration, legionella testing) with high accuracy and throughput
• Interpretation and results entry into LIMS system
• Meeting turn-around requirements
• Capable of performing in a 2IC capacity to section supervisor

Achievements:

• Assisted with getting multiple new analysis methods to be NATA certified
• Managed to set up varying methods in order to produce media in-house

• Overseeing the handling of inventory by working cooperatively and efficiently with team members in order to ensure that all given tasks are done
