I am interested in a SLSO position at Homebush boys high school as I feel it would enhance my skills as a future Educator in the secondary education sector. As an ex-student of the school I have intimate knowledge of the social and cultural demographics of the students that attend the school. Equipped with this knowledge, coupled with my experience as an English tutor for the majority of the last decade. I feel i could make a meaningful contribution to the educational journeys of students who require special attention to ensure they reach their educational outcomes. I am sure of this because I have preciously worked closely with students with conditions like dyslexia or speech impediments to help them reach their educational goals.

- There are several factors that tie me very closely to the school. The first Being, that I was an old Vice-captain of the school in 2016. The second being that my my youngest sibling only graduated from HBHS in 2022, monitoring his academic process during his schooling gave me insight into the student experience as recently as 2022. Thirdly my Mother (Sathya Kumaralingam) currently teaches at the school. Through the combination of these factors, I believe that, I have an in-depth understanding of how the school operates from a teacher's and student's perspective. Meaning I would be the best suited candidate for the SLSO position due to my own personal experience and emotional connection with our esteemed school
