Current employment. Have spent the time with this employer working on a few projects in the Pilbara including Barrow Island, South Hedland Water tank for Tom Price mine, and a Rio construction site at Parker Point (In some pretty extreme conditions). In saying that its been pretty limited away work, have been working on a lot of residential builds in and around Perth. (Preferably I would appreciate if no contact was made until I’ve asked them if they would reference me etc).

After spending my first few months in Queensland, I realised I wanted to move to WA to try out the Fifo lifestyle. Spent this time period on a government site ‘’school building’’ Project managed by Decmil up in Karratha installing and managing some of the intricate cladding and soffits.

This was my first Fifo stint

This is where i first moved over to Australia QLD and started off contracting for a company, basically finding my feet in Australia

Company director Charl Engelbrect offered me a job with the intention to help his business grow, during my employment we installed a few high end jobs contracting for Cs Roofing directed by Nathan Maxwell, along with gaining a few of our own clients in the property maintenance sector. A few projects we installed were mainly tray profiles on residential high end buildings and some maintenance on commercial buildings, including a 180 year old heritage re-roof for Middleton Grange high school. Also Re-roofed a KFC franchise building

Not only managing jobsite's but also hiring employees at times

During my employment with TARC I spent the majority of my time there installing standing seam 25/38 mm(Euro Tray), flat lock, snap lock profiles and also some membrane flat roofs. Over the years I gained knowledge and skills from my co-workers and got put into a higher role running jobsites as a foreman, a few projects I managed gained awards in house of the year 2021. Not only being a part of the install, but there was also a lot of time spent manufacturing in the shed using cnc folders/ guiltones/ press brakes/ roll formers and some solder experience refurbishing old rainwater heads.

3 months Gl Bowron sheepskin factory
