Effectiveness of eHealth interventions in improving medication adherence among people aged 50 years and over with chronic conditions; Conducted a systematic review to evaluate the effectiveness of eHealth interventions in improving medication adherence among older adults with chronic diseases. Analyzed 14 eligible studies from Australia, the US, and the UK, with sample sizes ranging from 25 to 5,216 participants and intervention durations from 6 to 52 weeks. Found that eHealth interventions, particularly those incorporating frequent reminders delivered to mobile devices, significantly improved medication adherence. No variation in effectiveness was observed based on the type or number of chronic diseases. While most studies reported improved adherence, they were predominantly of low to medium quality with short durations. The review highlights the need for further research to assess the long-term effectiveness and real-world applicability of these interventions.
