Summary

I'm a senior media and communications professional and manager with a brand and marketing lens.

My capabilities include developing and implementing mult-faceted, multi-stakeholder communications strategy in the government and private sectors. This includes developing social media strategy to guide and action plans that expand presence and engagement. I play an advisory role to senior leadership on communications best practice including reputational and crisis management.

I provide advice on communications opportunities to increase the organisations. visibility and positioning. I'm proficient in developing and reviewing communications products, including factsheets, brochures, newsletters, reports, news articles, video and images, presentations, talking ponts and tailored key messages that reach, inspire, inform and motivate internal, external audiences and stakeholders.

My experience includes planing and arranging promotional events, news conferences, campaigns, media releases and responding to media enquiries.

Our complex media, business and political environment requires an ongoing dialogue with customers, employees, investors and policymakers that requires a well honed strategic lens, exceptional writing and creative ability and a digital driven approach. Finding the right platform, for the right audience with the right message is my capability and unique offering.

Job overview

Develop and implement strategy and communications collateral for internal and external audiences. To date, I’ve successfully lead communications for the Our Water, Our Voice Customer Engagement Framework, our largest customer engagement program.

Strategy includes stakeholder mapping, developing tailored messages, developing a central corporate narrative and identifying opportunities for external media and internal coverage. I develop and review communications products including including publications, news articles, fact sheets, brochures, speaking notes and presentations. Additional requirements include executive leadership communications. The role requires that I continually foster key relationships internally and externally to build advocacy.

Job overview

In this role I planned communications strategy and produced supporting collateral to support the program delivery of clinical, consumer and government projects at eHealth NSW.

During this period I led communications for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), developing web and journal articles, video and social media content to support the strategy. I also led communications across four NSW Health agencies for the launch of the NSW Health Prototyping Centre.

Job overview

In this role for the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet I played a significant role in the media launch of the Bradfield City Centre which included media, stakeholder and community engagement, the creation and alignment of corporate narrative for web site, media releases and community engagement collateral. During this time I also managed and implemented the social media strategy, introduced virtual industry briefing events, wrote the 2020 annual report and was responsible for identifying and managing ministerial media opportunities, ministerial speaking points and board briefings as well as developing employee engagement strategy strategies, content and platforms.

Led the communications arm of the Sydney Growth Trains (SGT) Project in the Rail and Transit Systems division (then called Major Projects) to deliver on TfNSW’s $4.3b “More Trains, More Services’ program of works.

I was responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications strategy and the production of all communications collateral, inc. media communications plans, media releases, video, owned and external channel news articles. I was also responsible for internal communications; employee comms collateral including announcements, newsletters as well as leadership and executive communications coaching and support, exec reporting and town halls. Key achievements included earned media coverage for five Major Project milestones events across prime time TV news outlets in NSW in the space of 18 months.

During this period I developed and implemented media, brand, and digital marketing strategy for retail e-commerce boutique brands. My role was to position and build the brands, create visual assets, voice and brand guidelines as well as develop and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns and associated activations using bought media on Facebook, Instagram and Google ads using geo-targeting, EDMs, SEO and evaluate campaign data to form insights. I developed and managed the social media strategy, produced content, developed web sites, produced vídeo, photography and events.

Key achievements: Through leveraging opportunities, secured high value media coverage in print and online and produced Mailchimp campaigns generating a click-through and conversion rate 350% above the industry average.
