• I undertook assessment of suspected corrupt conduct and reviewed mandatory notifications from the QLD Police Service (QPS). I demonstrated decision-making responsibility and sound reasoning in escalating matters to senior management.

Integrity and Employee Relations (IER) receives and assesses complaints relating to allegations of inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour demonstrated by employees and determine the most appropriate response to this behaviour.

• I provided project support to the professional conduct team in triage and assessment of all information relating to the professional practice and conduct of teachers and former teachers, including allegations of harm to children and notifications about teachers and changes in their criminal history.
• I administratively supported the Director of Intake Referrals and Partnerships in the operational change activities and participated in the development and implementation of new regulatory assessment process.
• I regularly monitored and reported on the department's fulfillment of its regulatory obligations and communication with the external stakeholders, i.e. Crime and Corruption Commission and QLD College of Teachers.
• I delivered onboarding and capacity-building activities to new managers, including ongoing support in achieving project goals and results in business-as-usual activities.
• I facilitated effective coordination of information-gathering and preparation of ministerial briefs and submissions. This involved regular liaison with central and regional departmental units, including the Director-General of the Department of Education.

• I was responsible for managing a portfolio of complex health service complaints, which required decision-making and risk assessment for immediate interventions for the protection of public health and safety, or further investigations.
• I liaised directly with health service providers and issued statutory requests for medical records and other necessary information to assist with the assessment.
• I critically analysed complaint and notification information, conducting thorough and timely comprehensive reviews of medical records, incoming materials, including identifying and applying relevant professional standards, codes of conduct, and other formal health service and clinical guidelines.
• I made administrative decisions on complaints and provided complaint outcome correspondence, detailing informed decisions about the outcome and proposed resolution strategy.
• I regularly documented inquiry records and accurate advice provided to stakeholders, in accordance with statutory requirements.
• I resolved sensitive issues with a high degree of autonomy and delivered fair and effective resolutions that aligned with strict statutory timeframes and legislation; Health Ombudsman Act 2013 and the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (QLD).

• I was responsible for oversight of reportable incident notifications about serious incidents which occurred (or were alleged to have occurred) in connection with the provision of NDIS supports and services to people with a disability
• The mandatory reporting obligations apply to registered NDIS providers in the event of death, serious injury, abuse and neglect, sexual/physical assault or misconduct and the unauthorised use of restrictive practices.

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an administrative body and an executive agency of the Ministry for Health, NSW. It provides regulatory services, secretariat and functional support to each of the 15 Professional Councils with primary role to protect public health and safety.

• I undertook case management and risk assessment of complex and sensitive health service complaints, as well as mandatory notifications, in relation to professional misconduct, impaired health, or unsatisfactory professional performance of registered health practitioners.
• I regularly engaged with complainants and health practitioners with sensitivity, observing high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
• I provided secretariat support during various stages of the Nursing and Midwifery and Dental Councils' regulatory processes, exercising regulatory powers and considerations of limiting health professionals in their professional activity, in order to protect health and safety of the public.
• I regularly liaised with the NSW Nurses and Midwives' Association and the health professionals who were the subject of complaint. I routinely applied the Council's regulatory and statutory powers and provided direction and guidance about the regulatory process to various stakeholders.
• I participated in the Committee decision hearings and interviews, prepared and distributed relevant agendas, prepared briefing notes with recommendations for action, and collated supporting documentation for the Committee's consideration.
• I strengthened working relationships with government agencies and health sector stakeholders (Ahpra, Health Care Complaints Commission, NSW Local Health Districts, Private Healthcare providers).
