I worked for 25 years as a teacher, dedicated to fostering student growth through effective communication, self-reflection and ongoing professional development. I was recognised for designing and implimenting engaging lesson plans and organising impactful community events. I prioritised strong interpersonal communication, understanding and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of all students and the wider school community.
In my current role as a disability support worker, I have gained experience with providing comprehensive care and support to individuals with disabilities. I utilise effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships and ensure client well-being. I have a strong understanding of personalized care plans and daily living assistance to enhance client quality of life.
I am seeking a new challenge in a role that will utilise my many strengths and passions. I am interested in flexible and part-time working hours to accommodate my volunteer work with the State Emergency Service, as well as family commitments.
