To enhance my GIS skills, I enrolled in a short course at the University of Sydney, where I learned how to use ARC GIS software to create, edit, and manipulate spatial data. I also learned how to apply different spatial analysis techniques, such as buffering, overlaying, and geocoding, to answer various geographic questions. As part of the course, I completed several projects using ARC GIS, such as: Mapping the distribution and density of parks in New South Wales, based on field survey data and satellite imagery, analysing the accessibility and suitability of public parks in Sydney, based on population, land use, and transportation data and creating a web map of the historical and cultural sites in Tasmania, based on open data sources and online research.
