- Spent six years working on the customer facing side of UK telecoms company Openreach.
- Installed and repaired broadband lines in the remote Scottish Highlands.
- Daily tasks include (but not limited to): working at height, working underground, working in confined spaces, rodding ducts, pulling through new cables and digging in soft.
- Was given responsibility of 'buddying' newly trained engineers, helping them transfer skills from the classroom to the field.
- Often had to explain technologies to customers
- Had to organise my day every morning in order to best meet customer and companies demands. Then right a report on each completed job.
- Due to working in a large area I was often working by myself with no colleagues near me.
