Hi, I'm Andrew a dynamic and dependable professional with over 18 years of frontline experience as a Correctional Officer for Justice NSW. I’ve spent nearly two decades staying calm under pressure, resolving conflicts, and stepping up in critical moments when quick decisions matter most. Throughout my career, I’ve trained new staff, enforced strict safety protocols, and consistently delivered clear, detailed reports that keep operations running smoothly. I’m recognised for my calm, solution-focused approach, strong communication skills, and ability to think on my feet in high-pressure environments.
Alongside my career in corrections, I’ve also gained valuable experience working with Nadalo, performing labour-intensive roles in multiple mines across New South Wales on both day and night shifts. This firsthand experience working shutdowns has given me a genuine appreciation for the physical demands and mental resilience required in the mining industry and I know what it takes to get the job done in tough, fast-paced environments.
Now, I’m ready for a new chapter. I’m setting out on a fresh path in life, and with that comes a new profession. I believe mining is the backbone of Australia’s future, driving progress, opportunity, and economic growth. I’m eager to bring my work ethic, resilience, and leadership skills to the mining industry, where I can contribute to a sector that shapes our nation and provides a solid future for those willing to dig deep.
I’ve recently applied for my UHL and am committed to obtaining any additional tickets or qualifications required prior to employment, ensuring I’m fully prepared to hit the ground running and add value from day one.
