- I was previously employed as a longwall operator while also assisting with the installation. My role initially was in the TG 102 gate road development panel where I was given an opportunity to refresh my skills and knowledge after spending the past 3 years primarily working on the Longwall face. Exposure to the Moolarben cutting cycle, panel set up and belt move planning and requirements was of assistance to the skills and knowledge required to perform the Deputy/Panel Supervisor role at Moolarben Underground.

I applied through Ulan West to undertake the Certificate IV in underground coal operations in which I was successful.
