  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inmates receive high quality culturally appropriate care and cultural guidance.
  • Develop positive rapport with indigenous inmates to support their engagement in rehabilitation and reintegration processes
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve rehabilitative outcomes for inmates, and to support their successful reintegration into the wider community
  • Provide culturally appropriate support and information to increase the cultural competency of non-Aboriginal staff, through the delivery of day to day support and the cultural awareness aspect of Serco's Primary Training Course
