- Working within the Sydney Engineering department servicing the Sydney Rex network team of 3 LAME's and 1 AME on our shift my role involves maintaining up to 13 SAAB 340's and up to 70 arrivals and departures.
- Performed scheduled and unscheduled inspections to check flight readiness of aircraft and issuing the certificate of release to service.
- Training and development of AME’s and apprentices, balancing time constraints with teaching and trying to ensure a sense of good situational awareness.
- Removed components such as landing gear, engines, and flight control.
- Inspected airframes to detect wear and other defects, such as inflight vibration defects.
- Troubleshot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and tested equipment following repairs
- Ability to work without a hangar in all weather, organising logistics to complete jobs such as landing gear swings (post landing gear control valve changes), Engine replacement, Steering Actuator, HMU removal/ install, Blade and Propeller removal/install, Compressor washes on bay.
