Emerald

Summary

With a foundation as an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, I transitioned into a fulfilling 27-year career as a Police Officer, including two secondments with the Australian Federal Police. Throughout my career, I have managed police stations, mentored junior staff, and delivered lectures in computing for police officers, as well as QPRIME basics for Border Force Intelligence Officers. After policing, I applied my expertise to teaching electrical apprentices at CQU Emerald.

More recently, I have taken on leadership roles, including Facilities Coordinator (Manager) at a Catholic High School, and currently serve as a Safety and Compliance Officer with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator. I am a quick learner when it comes to software and technology, highly skilled in applying legislation, policy, and procedure, and passionate about teaching these principles to others. I enjoy travel as part of my work and thrive in stakeholder engagement, making me well-suited for roles that require strong communication, trust, and reliable follow-up.
