I am a year 11 student going into year 12 and wanting work as an operator or general farm hand. I have a little bit of experience in the industry but am very keen to get a lot more experience in the up coming years. I am keen to learn new skills, have a good work ethic and Im a good team player. In the future my goal is to start my own contracting business based down the southeast as I really enjoy driving tractors and is one of many dreams of mine.
I have worked here for two harvests now being a chaserbin driver, running the seed cleaner setup with a snail roller and also as a general farm hand when we arnt reaping.
Equipment Used: John Deere 9330 with powershift ( towed the 30 tonne chaserbin ) Claas Axion 930 with vairio transmission ( Land roller used behind it ) 70 tonne wheel loader and 30 tonne wheel loader ( using bucket moving stones and soil, hay forks for bales and push bar for pushing grain up in sheds ) 6 tonne forklift ( shifting crates and pallets around workshop ) John Deere 7820 with powershift ( rib roller and cultivator used behind it )
Whilst I am still at school I worked at the farm barn every weekend just as a general worker. The jobs I would normally do every weekend were feeding out bales and potatoes to the cows, mucking out animal pens and stables. When ever my jobs were finished then I would help out at the front desk helping and serving customers out.
Equipment Used: Kubota 55hp tractor with front end loader and then a Kubota side by side
During the early stages of hay season 2023 i helped out a mate before i left for harvest. i was operating a mower conditioner and hay rake.
Equipment used: 200hp twin track Cat tractor with a tow behind John Deere MoCo mower conditioner and then a 125 hp Kubota with a Claas twin rotar hay rake.
During September I did some work experience for Brecon. Some of the jobs I did during my work experience were drafting ewes, putting in troughs, changing mower blades, snail bait spreading and building sheep shelters out in the paddock.
In 2021 I went to the vineyard my uncle manages just outside of narracorte to do some work experience. Some of the jobs I did there were slashing in the vines, pruning end rows and new shoots, servicing grape harvesters and carting wood.

I have a few hobbies now which are: riding dirtbikes, camping and 4wding, fishing, logging and using chainsaw, welding, fabricating, making drone videos of tractors.
