While attending Knox Grammer, I provided volunteer referee and coaching services on evenings and weekends. I also assisted with logistics in setting up and coordinating games.

After undertaking my referee qualifications, I was hired by Waterpolo NSW on a casual basis to referee waterpolo games at various locations around Sydney. Games were usually played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Good communication and confidence in making calls were crucial in performing this role as well as being up to date with all rule changes and regulations.

Being on time and punctual was also extremely important as games need to commence on time so as not to delay the run schedule
