Project: Migration Solutions and Architecture (Airlines Project) CGI

June 2020 – Till Date

Role: Cloud and Wintel Architect and SME

Responsible for:

· Design and implementation of migration solution from on-prem environment to Azure

· Commission and decommission of Azure Subscription and resources including Virtual machines, storage accounts, Kubernetes clusters, load balancers, etc.

· Preparation and maintenance of Terraform codes and PowerShell scripts to automate deployment of resources in Azure including Servers, Storage accounts, Load balancers, Azure Kubernetes Clusters, etc.

· Deployment of runbooks in Azure to automate backup and other tasks as per customer requirements.

· Upgrade and maintenance of Azure Kubernetes Clusters

· Creation and maintenance of Azure App registrations and Enterprise Applications

· Azure Active Directory troubleshooting and maintenance and integration of AAD connect for migration from Exchange to Office 365.

· Windows Active Directory maintenance, DNS zones and record creation, GPO creation and integration with AAD.

· ADFS trust creation and renewal of token encryption, signing and communication certificates in ADFS.

· Certificate template creation and creation of certificates using Active Directory Certificate Services.

· Creation and maintenance of Patching schedule and patch approval via WSUS for Windows servers as per customer requirements.

· Perform security hardening of Windows Servers and create monthly hardening and vulnerability analysis reports to customer.

· Preparation of cost analysis for Azure and provide reports and suggest cost reduction ideas to customer

· Troubleshooting all issues related to Azure, Terraform codes, Windows Servers and Active Directory as final point of technical escalation matrix for the wider team

· Provide training and mentorship to other members as Technical Lead and SME.

Project: Migration Solutions and Architecture (Telecom Project) CGI

October 2018– June 2020

Role:Infra Design Engineer and SME

Responsible for:

· Designing new server solutions, preparing playbooks, high-level design documents, build guides and runbooks for migration of legacy Windows server based solutions to newly built Virtual and Cloud infrastructure solutions hosted on VMware and Azure.

· Infrastructure performance analysis of legacy infrastructure to determine the infrastructure requirements and specifications for new infrastructure.

· Design analysis, built and configuration of new cloud infrastructure

· Installation and configuration of Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers based on application and database requirements.

· Migration of data and application roles and services from legacy servers to newly built servers.

· Troubleshooting server, network and application level issues pre and post migration to new solutions.

· Ensuring continuous communication with application owners and users to for reviews and approvals

Project: UK Wintel, CGI

September 2015 – September 2018

Role: Wintel L3 Engineer and SME

Responsible for:

· Providing Level 3 Support for Windows, Azure and VMware technologies in a shared services model with 30+ clients in UK.

· Escalation Point of Contact and On-call SME level Support for shift engineers for Priority incidents.

· Preparing Knowledge transition and BAU handover strategy and plan for new projects.

· Travelling onshore to client sites in UK for discovery, knowledge transition and implementation of new projects

· Implementation of DR strategy and plans for Wintel environment for new projects

· Implementation of Backups, Monitoring and formulating patching plan for Windows Servers and VMware ESX/ESXi hosts.

· Planning, impact analysis and implementation of infrastructural changes with respect to Windows, Azure and VMware infrastructure

· Review changes being implemented by team members and provide Technical authorization

· Analyze Problem calls & provide RCA for major incidents.

· Prepare plans for knowledge transition and training of new members in the team.

Project: Orange Communications, Switzerland & KCI USA (Acelity)

Role: Technical Support Engineer

Responsible for:

· Administration of Windows Server, DHCP, DNS, DC and AD.

· Performing all aspects of account management and access rights

· Handling various critical windows servers and clusters

· Exchange server 2007/2010 Installation, Configuration and maintenance.

· New virtual Infrastructure setup using VMware ESX 5 & vCenter Server 5

· Creation of new VM’s by using templates and clones.

· Implementing High Availability with VMware HA and DRS.

· Create performance graph of VM's and ESX hosts and setting up of alarms for virtual infrastructure.

· Publishing applications in Citrix farm and assigning and modifying application access to users in Citrix farm.

· Troubleshooting and resolution of Citrix related issues and incidents.
