Broadcast Engineer Intern

NEP Australia
06.2022 - 11.2022
  • OB (Outside broadcasting) is responsible for the efficient setup, operational condition, calibration, and signal standards of the OB Unit or Studio control room and other associated equipment assigned to projects.
  • Level-1 duties include Proficient understanding of signal flow to & from the HUB, good understanding of TCP IP and Networking, system calibration and signal checks onto the local program recording device or devices or to the end user’s transmission or recording facility by the predetermined time in the production schedule.
  • Installation of stumps in cricket using source and destination connections through north and south poles. Installation of Zing caps on stump cam using master and slave stumps.
  • Managed the setup, operation, and maintenance of broadcast equipment for live events and productions.
  • Collaborated with engineering teams to integrate new technologies and systems, ensuring seamless broadcast operations.
  • Conducted regular testing and troubleshooting of broadcast and transmission equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Monitored and adjusted signal quality and transmission parameters to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Worked closely with production crews to coordinate technical needs and support live broadcasts, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Maintained detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and technical issues for continuous improvement.

Dissertation Project

Griffith University, Nathan Campus
06.2021 - 05.2022
  • Measurement of near field properties (signal standards or levels) using loop antennas with Hertzian dipole theory involving the application of transmission line, waveguide, antenna and electromagnetic field principles and application of devices that produce signal with radio band of frequency 40-48MHz.
  • Link budget analysis is calculated to match power transmitted equal to power received. Due to free space path loss and other cable loss, power received is less than power transmitted.
  • Designed transmitter and receiver printed circuit boards using Altium designer and P-CAD software.
  • Participated in PCB milling, pick and place, reflow, hand soldering (through hole and SMD), testing, rework, fault findings, packaging, and documentation.
  • Installed some power amplifiers, filters and other components using hand soldering and SMD processes.
  • Compared the obtained results with previous experiment using 1MHz frequency.

Project Intern

Joflo Industries
12.2018 - 03.2019
  • The project explains about Cryptography technique which can be used for secured transmission of data
  • The construction of project has multiple reception points and single transmission points
  • Utilized Poly alphabetic cipher algorithm is one of the strongest algorithms used for securing data in defense stations
  • The Poly alphabetic cipher algorithm is used for wireless data transmission between army stations using PIC Microcontroller
  • Encryption and decryption of data is obtained to secure the information from breaching to third party
  • LoRa devices connected in transmitter circuit enable the connection between remote end nodes and low power wide area networks (LPWANs) for delivery to analytics applications
  • Studied on Long range device for implementation of project

Project Intern

Linkwell Telesystems Pvt. Ltd
06.2018 - 08.2018
  • The project was started to conduct a performance evaluation of VoIP systems in various network environments.
  • A thorough examination of the literature was done on VoIP technology, protocols, performance factors, and OPNET modeler. For modelling VoIP scenarios, the OPNET modeler, routers, switches, nodes, profile definition, and application definition were selected.
  • Two client nodes connected to a switch and twenty clients connected to two switches via a router were the configurations for the network topologies.
  • Topologies for wireless LAN VoIP with 20 wireless clients and WAN VoIP with clients that were geographically far away were set up.
  • Two types of office WLAN topologies were modeled: one with a single sender-receiver pair and another with five senders and five receivers, and a long-distance VoIP topology was developed.
  • For accurate VoIP traffic simulation, profile and application definitions that were customized for each scenario and considered voice codecs, packetization, QoS, channel characteristics, and mobility patterns were designed.
