Summary

At my core, I am an advocate for those from diverse backgrounds, and believe in working closely with these groups to achieve a successful outcome. I believe that the key to success lies with building strong relationships, and this can be applied to all industries. My experience teaching a range of students and liaising with their families and communities has enabled a plethora of skills and strengths in these areas. Philosophy

As a teacher, I understand that each child brings their own personal diversities to the classroom. All students learn and thrive in different ways, which is something I embrace. This is achieved by providing a nurturing and encouraging environment, with individualised and appropriate learning approaches daily. By doing so, I form strong bonds with my students, resulting in caring, valued and trustworthy relationships. Students are given the creative freedom to express themselves in their own way and feel comfortable and safe when doing so. I strive to achieve personal connections with each student in the classroom, resulting in trust, respect and care with me, and also amongst their peers. Students should learn to love themselves and all the wonderful things they are capable of. They will be praised for their many achievements and will spread this confidence with other students in the classroom. My classroom is an open, safe, and respectful space which focuses on social and emotional well-being.
