  • Responsible for providing supervision for a workgroup of Communications Officers, managing and coordinating NSW Police Force resources responses to incidents using the Police Radio Network and the Computer Aided Dispatch system. The role requires a strong ability to monitor multiple simultaneous pieces of information, prioritise and track resources, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Manage, coordinate, and control the response of police to incidents occurring individually or simultaneously maintaining radio support.
  • Utilise computer based dispatch systems to record broadcast and acknowledge times, divert or duplicate messages and respond to incoming messages and information
  • Provide a service to operational police regarding referral of requests for assistance to appropriate resources and agencies
  • Monitor the activities of all mobile units, allocated resources, and incidents
  • Take and process Triple Zero calls and calls from other agencies
  • Responsible for the first-line supervision of Communications Officers, providing advise and guidance in the management of calls and jobs
