  • This is a business lending underwriting assistant role, through my time so far I have collected the following roles:
  • Parse financial accounts: Speed and accuracy are crucial; not only is there a high volume of FA, but there can be unacceptable discrepancies, sometimes being trickier to spot, so complacency isn’t an option. Reviewing Companies House to ensure accounts and confirmation statements and financial accounts are up to date and accurate, then entering the model on SalesForce
  • Complex Shareholding: Using companies House to find the correct 50% Shareholders to enter the model, which can involve a rabbit hole of parent companies. Liaising with brokers and sales reps to request the correct details of the Shareholders, and that the businesses are within policy
  • Post Offer Checklist: Working closely with underwriting, after applicants have received their initial offer, further rigorous checks are completed; I ensure that all information is accurate and up to date with Companies House, as well as meeting specific lending criteria. Pulling director reports and consumer credit reports, if not automatically generated. Based on the information which I find during this checklist process I may need to refer to the fraud team and underwriting to determine eligibility.
