Summary

I am a conscientious, articulate and vibrant person. I have a total of nearly 3 years' experience in the Design and Cabinetry Industry as well as a diploma of Interior Design, and a background in hospitality. I am searching for a position to apply my knowledge and skills in a way that will be rewarding for both myself and my employers. I would love to find a position that is incentive focused, I thrive on the opportunity to learn, grow and develop.

My first design position was 2 years at Di Henshall Interior Design, which is located in Noosaville, my role there was Design Assistant. I feel the time there, as well as the opportunity to work alongside designers and high-end residential clients, has given me a firm grasp on the industry.

My day to day consisted of assisting the team from start to finish on client jobs, whether this be schedule of finishes, booking and overseeing trades, order tracking, creating client presentations etc. Any part of the design process small or large, I became extremely familiar with. I had to make the difficult decision to part with them last year, to dedicate myself to my Interior Design Diploma full time.

My current position as Receptionist/Administration at Gull Design in Noosaville, has consisted of working alongside joiners and designers. Through this position, I have continued to develop my understanding of the industry, more specifically cabinetry, including colours, finishes, kitchen design and appliance and plumbing selections. I have had the opportunity to expand my confidence within quoting and invoicing and the process of estimating with the assistance of reputable vendors. Time management and scheduling has been a major part of my position, as well as filing, organization and general upkeep of the showroom.

I completed my diploma using ArchiCAD and am currently looking into ways that I can expand my skills within other programs such as Revit and Sketchup.

I am confident and extremely devoted to both my team and my passions, I have a background of 13 years in hospitality and believe this has given me amazing adaptability and problem-solving skills, especially in high pressure situations.
