helped out the residents with bowel and bladder functions as well as changing colostomy bags and Cather bags

administered medication daily

followed and supported community fire and safety and infection control practices

reported any unsafe conditions or equipment to immediate supervisor

assisted individuals to and from the dining room, and assisted residents at meals times

prepared residents for meals and accompanied residents with travel if necessary

attended all mandatory training, completed self learning/study online.

Working as Pca with agency i have to matched with clients need of assistance with daily living activities in their facilities. i have to play a vital role in supporting the independence health and well being of our clients by delivering high quality person centered care.

• Ensure all residents are being treated with dignity and their choices are respected when providing care(i.e the time is suitable to provide personal care and they feel comfortable)
• Be kind and respectful- recognise the person; say hello and always ask permission before assisting
• help residents live together with values established in the care home
• understanding how to respond to residents choices for changes to their care and where to escalate their enquiries
• ensure all residents equipment and care home equipment is in working order and always clean(i.e walking frames, walking sticks, wheelchairs).
• Actively seek feedback from resident about my service and seek to address any concerns escalating to the registered nurse for assistance if required
