Prior to transitioning down to Education centre
- Original role was within Rick Hamersley Therapeutic Community Service this is AOD (alcohol and other drugs) rehabilitation service. Support worked
- Outreach: transitioning families into service from community, this included communicating with GP's, specialists and DCP if required.
- Welfare duties: liaising with centre link and other agencies including WA housing, budget support with families including paying utilities and savings.
- Groups: this included parenting group support.
- Client checks: this included urine tests (regular and random).
- Creche: creche within TC, when mums went to group children would come to creche, this is where children built strong relationships with educators, excursions within community, once per week mums and their children would go to NA meeting and shopping with their children with support from educators with both attending NA meetings and support while shopping for their weekly groceries.
