Manage Warehouse operations for the Nowra site.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, I am responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Warehousing & Distribution (W&D) site at Nowra.
Maintaining a safe working environment, manage, and mitigate site risks and ensure overall site compliance is in line with company, client, and regulatory standards.
In addition, I am also responsible for leading and managing the workforce, ensuring all customer and organisational objectives and expectations are achieved in accordance with the W&D contract.
As part of my role, I am exposed to a high level of confidentiality and always ensure discretion in accordance with Linfox policies, legislative obligations, and customer requirements crucial to the role.
I am also responsible for the financial performance of the site and must effectively manage staff wages, site maintenance and discretionary costs for the client.
Furthermore, building and maintaining strong working relationships with the customer is an essential part of my role as well as ensuring that continuous improvement is promoted and implemented at all levels within the business.
Day-to-day management of the delivery of Services at the Site.
Planning and providing services to meet requirements associated with planned and unplanned contingencies and operations including contingency planning and coordination, with a particular focus upon Business Continuity Planning.
Participating in relevant Site and Regional meetings where required.
Manage warehouse personnel.
Provide, Human Resources, Safety, Incident Reporting assistance.
Achieve agreed Safety goals, in line with annual Site Safety Plan, or real time changes in safety performance.
Creates and maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
Hold and attend various site and base meetings.
Perform the duties of Security Officer.
Issue Permit to Work paperwork for all contractors.
Create and manage BPMS documents, risk assessments and safe working procedures.
Initiate recommendations for improvement of Linfox’s Processes and Safety assessments.
Arrange internal & external training as required and manage the LMS training system.
Carry out purchasing on the P2P system and maintain financial information.
Complete weekly payroll on the Kronos system.
Manage and ensure KPI’s are maintained by the site.
Provide technical assistance in specialist areas.
Train and assist staff in various computer systems. IE: MILIS, DPN, DTP, SharePoint, Objective and ERP.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Work Instructions, Defence and Company requirements.
Assist in audits – LCAT, ANAO, SAI, PULSE, CoR, Comcare, JCG and NAIS etc.
Control Framework Reports/Dashboards and stocktakes – Maintained and actioned as required.
Act as site point of contact and information source to Contract management, outside contractors and customers.
Maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure customer service expectations are achieved and maintained.
Consistently achieving high results in all audits.
Nowra site also achieved 3 x 100% audit results in 2025 for Safety, CoR and NAIS (National Assurance Inventory Sample).
Received President Award nomination in 2018.
