  • I am currently employed with Bluescope Steel at the plate processing mill as an operator, working a 5 day roster doing 12 hour day and night shifts
  • I have been at the plate mill since February 2018 till current.
  • I have performed a range of duties at the plate mill from organising plates to go into storage bays, driving a remote control crane, oxy cutting, manual handling tasks, operating machinery on a line to meet safe quality tonnes per shift.
  • Cutting test pieces out from plates
  • Using an ESAB machine that cuts plates to sizes from 30mm to a larger thickness of up to 140mm.
  • Reported any discrepancies or abnormalities in the production process immediately to supervisor.
  • Provided training assistance to new operators on proper machine operation techniques.
  • Rotated among various workstations, performing work necessary to meet production needs.

  • I was at unanderra coil processing from 2010 to 2018 until it relocated to a new area, the duties I performed there was operating machinery , driving cranes,, building heads to cut steel(slitter line), strapping steel mults, despatching steel mults.
