It has country operations in New Zealand (HQ), Australia and USA, with offshore delivery out of India and near shore delivery out of Fiji.
  • I am heading the Australia country operations for establishing and growing Duco Consultancy’s presence in the country across multiple product and industry verticals.

  • Matahari is Indonesia’s biggest and oldest value fashion retailer. Matahari stores have been in operation since 1958 and currently are operating 160 odd B&M stores across the country and online channel with matahari.com and other marketplaces. Matahari has annual revenues of1.3 Bil USD.
  • I was driving the digital, eCommerce, loyalty, and omni-channel initiatives.
  • Built the team from ground up with functional pillars created across Product Management, Program Management, Testing, Service Delivery, and Infra Management.
  • Planned out the multi-year roadmap for digital transformation which would enable the projected business growth targets.
  • Re-architected the eCommerce infrastructure setup to ensure sustenance till we kick in the transformation plans.
  • First drop of transformation was to enable a consignment vendor portal to start getting control on the consignment catalogue and inventory. Also, ability to record and absorb consignment stock sales.
  • The second drop of transformation was to re-launch Matahari.com on Adobe Magento Enterprise Cloud with completely new UI/UX journeys. Also enabled operational features of 3PL DC and fulfillment, single view of product and inventory, store fulfillment and returns, Click & Collect, revamped Loyalty offering.
  • Managed relationships with external vendors such as creative agencies and software providers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products/services at optimal costs.
  • Championed an agile project management approach within the digital department to improve efficiency and responsiveness to rapidly shifting market demands.
  • Optimized website UX/UI design through extensive A/B testing, leading to higher visitor retention rates and increased conversions.

  • Kicked off further optimization plans for the eCommerce channel with strengthening features around onsite search, personalized recommendation, multi payment options, SEO optimization, same day/express delivery, order at store, endless aisle etc.

  • Improved Matahari's overall digital channel revenue from 6 Mil USD to 35 Mil USD odd over 4 years.
  • Matahari.com was rated consistently in top10 fashion eCommerce players in Indonesia with a consistent 4+ rating on Playstore.
  • Increased Matahari.com (web and apps) MAU from 1.5 Mil to 5 Mil mark.
  • Increased conversion rate of Matahari.com from 0.8% to 2.8%.
  • Boosted digital channel revenue growth by 25% by enabling integrated trading on Indonesian unicorn marketplaces and WhatsApp channels.

  • Alshaya was undergoing a massive Digital Transformation program, named Phoenix which aimed to transform end to end application landscape from legacy bespoke applications to industry standard global retail solutions from industry leading product vendors namely Oracle, IBM, JDA and Algonomy.

- I worked as a Build Manager, responsible for delivery of all offshore (India and the Philippines) built components and managed a team of 8 technical resources across India and Philippines. My role involved coordinating and managing offshore resources and ensuring they are tracking to project plan and delivering components on time

- Also performed the role of SIT Release Manager, responsible for managing all code releases into the SIT environment in a structured and planned manner with minimal impact to ongoing SIT. These releases needed co-ordination between different geographically located teams e.g., India, China, Philippines, and Australia

- In addition, I was the Production Cutover Manager, responsible for cutting over the new AIX based applications into Production and De-activating the existing mainframe-based applications. The applications that were cutover were Supplier Compliance Rating (SCR), Gift Registry (GR) and EDIQ. Additionally, one Coles EFT interface was cutover late in2011. This involved coordination with various teams across application, infrastructure and Myer business and needed to ensure that the cutover happens in a planned and efficient manner without affecting daily business activities in any sense.
