Arhamah Haider is a nationally recognised youth advocate, legal enthusiast, and emerging policy leader from the Mackay and Whitsunday region. In 2024, she was appointed the youngest Minister in the Queensland Youth Parliament, where she helped draft legislation focused on disaster recovery for disadvantaged communities. Now serving her second term as Youth Member for Burdekin, she mentors new delegates and contributes to high-level policy discussions.
She is the co-founder of the Gratitude Initiative, a youth-led organisation supporting women and children in crisis through the Helping Hands Network and the published book Chapters of Change, distributed to hospitals and shelters across Australia. Her advocacy has earned her the Zonta Young Woman in Leadership Award and the Just Saying Project Rising Star Award.
As a UN Youth Australian Ambassador, Arhamah has represented Australia at international forums, contributing to youth policy, gender equality, and human rights advocacy. She is currently completing Harvard University’s renowned Justice course with Professor Michael Sandel, deepening her understanding of legal ethics, equity, and civic responsibility.
