• Cut steel pieces to specified dimensions using oxy-acetylene torches or powered saws.

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel components such as columns, beams, girders, trusses, stairs, lintels, metal decking and reinforcing bars.
• Secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms using clamps and bolts.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the type, size, and amount of steel needed for a project.

• Inspected buildings and structures to determine waterproofing requirements.
• Performed surface preparation tasks such as cleaning, sanding and priming surfaces prior to application of waterproofing materials.
• Applied coatings, membranes and sealants to walls, floors and other structures in order to prevent water penetration.
• Installed sheet metal flashings around windows, doors and vents to prevent water leakage.
