Arlo Brown

I started working at Greville Records during the Covid 19 lockdown to assist in keeping the business afloat through the creation of our online shop. Over the years since I have grown to fit many roles and responsibilities. We employ a very small amount of people, so each of us were expected to be able to complete a great variety of tasks regularly. Some of these include:

• Completing sales and assisting costumers
• Opening and closing the shop
• Packing and posting orders
• Managing our online shop
• Regularly uploading new product to our online shop, Ebay and Discogs
• Unpacking and processing new stock
• Ordering new stock from suppliers
• Buying and selling second hand product
• Cleaning and keeping our shop tidy
• Answering phone calls and emails
• Accounting, balancing the till and depositing cash

Massive Wieners was a fast food restaurant, located on Chapel Street, Prahran, among the many clubs and bars in that area. I happily worked their for a few years until it closed down at the beginning of the Covid 19 lockdown. While there I became a core member of our staff and had many responsibilities. These include:

• Serving customers, taking orders and operating our POS system,
• Preparing food
• Keeping the kitchen and front of house clean
• Working late graveyards shifts, finishing around 1-5 A.M. depending on the day
• Keeping intoxicated customers safe and happy
• Training and assessing new staff
• Opening and closing the shop
• Balancing the till
• Cleaning our uniforms

Schnitz Malvern was my first job. I started as a general staff member, preparing food and serving customers. Over time I acquired more roles and ended as a Team Leader, who would manage the other staff.
