The Industry Experience project focuses on using IT for social good. I, as a Data Scientist, have worked in a multi-cultural self-managed agile team to come up with a solution for Australian students who lack information on Bushfire. We delivered a web-based product interactively containing bushfire-related data to provide valuable information about bushfire and recovery techniques to make it easier for the students to assimilate.

• Gathered bushfire information using government open data sources.
• Used Tableau and AWS S2 techniques to break down, interpret and visualize data.
• Facilitated and executed strategies to educate target customers on different areas related to bushfire.
• Developed and deployed structured testing and research processes among the team.
• Used WordPress and DigitalOcean to create a user-friendly website.

Being Data science intern for Summerfruit Australia, my responsibilities were:

• Worked alongside team members and leaders to identify analytical requirements and collect information to meet customer and project demands.
• Created quarterly plans centered on meeting short- and long-term objectives by maximizing impact of products.
• Segmented all sorts of customers in whole of Australia with analytics focused on marketing campaign optimization.
• Reviewed business areas to strengthen analytics, enhance strategic planning and support decision-making processes with solid data.

As a Data Scientist, I build an email client python script which send emails to the client about the performance of the system for every minute/hour/day according to client requirement. Additionally, did an exploratory analysis on the dataset provided by the client and explored all the possible predictors responsible and visualized the data using the folium map to get clear insights.

Being Support Engineer for Microsoft Exchange and mailing services, I was working in a team of 4 Engineers and I was responsible in bridging the gap between Onshore and offshore segment of the project.

Technical Aspect:

• Management of end-to-end support process and support governance of managed IT services (Exchange). Held key responsibility for managing servers in Enterprise-wide disaster recovery tests. Assisted in performing, monitoring, intervention, escalation and communication of any issues having impact on any aspects of environment.
• Technologies used were Powershell, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Lync, and Proofpoint.
• Supported customers by answering questions and guiding end-use.
• Supported in troubleshooting of software systems and technology updates post-implementation.
• Completed quality assurance reviews to test data integrity and verify outcomes.

Management Aspect:

• I documented all phases of systems and software update and restoration projects.
• Reviewed and assessed networks to determine areas for improvement.
• Provided knowledge transitions.
• Documented SOPs and Incident Response documents.
• I won several client appreciation medals during my entire job role.
