This project was aimed at rolling out 2 million digital meters to residential customers across the entire service area. This program, YVW's largest to date, was initially trialled in select suburbs with a view to rolling out to the remaining service area.
As the Lead Business Analyst for the Digital Metering program at Yarra Valley Water (YVW), I played a pivotal role in the project. I personally ran a series of 25+ workshops for this enterprise wide program to cover all the impacted business areas and elicit requirements for various functionalities of the Digital Metering Platform ranging from System integration, various Customer journeys, Operating model, Customer Service, etc. My approach was by applying systems thinking to understand the interactions between people, processes, and technology within the organization, thereby gaining a holistic view of the enterprise.
