Represent the Police Service and its members in proceedings before and applications

Assist with training aimed at enhancing the quality of court briefs and briefs of evidence. Implement and maintain case management procedures to ensure attendance of appropriate witnesses and effective liaison with members of the legal fraternity.
Co-ordinate cultural support activities in line with Service policy
Develop and maintain effective communication with First Nations and Ethnic community representatives, colleagues and representatives of government departments and external agencies.
Implement, manage and apply problem solving approaches to bring about improved service delivery.
Provide operational support to officers particularly in the investigation of crime in Ethnic and First Nations communities.
Provide supervision, training and guidance for the professional development of Queensland Police Service members as required.
Provide leadership, supervision, advice and support to staff including, as necessary, planning and managing responses to high risk calls for service or critical/major events.
▪ Receive into custody, search, take particulars for identification when lawful and record details of prisoners and their property.
▪ Maintain all Watchhouse records and ensure bench charge sheets are prepared.
▪ Receive and forward to the clerk of court bail money/fines paid by prisoners.
▪ Ensure property sheets are completed, warrants and other papers are obtained for escorting police.
▪ Supervise and provide for the welfare, comfort and security of prisoners.
Record health of prisoners and obtain medical attention if required.
▪ Train, supervise, motivate and provide performance reviews on subordinates.
▪ Record and obtain receipts for any prisoner/property removed from watchhouse.
▪ When in charge of relief maintain the watchhouse in an ethical, efficient and effective manner
