Summary

My name is Ashlee Stokes, I'm 20 years old and I'm currently in my third year of university. I am studying the Bachelor of Early childhood and following on from this I will be completing the Masters of Primary Education at Victoria University. I'm available Monday to Friday both mornings and afternoons anytime. I'm an outgoing, bright, and bubbly individual who works well as a part of a team as well as working independently.

  • In this job i work with a range of different individuals to provide high quality and fun programs for a wide variety of school aged children.
  • Based on children's interest i am able to plan and implement both creative and sports activities for both the before and after school care programs.
  • I am constantly communicating to staff about what is happening on the day and delegating people to certain places.
  • I have had the opportunity to organise and train new staff members. This involved running them through the day to day operations of the service and all safety protocols.

In this job I was part of the customer service team where I was on the registers and ran two lines of customers at the same time. Additional Information

  • During my time at Point Cook College, I was given the opportunity to become a house captain of the school, where my responsibilities were demonstrating effective leadership skills in running events e.g., school athletics and school assemblies. I was also required to work as a part of a team with multiple students and teachers to reach a desired outcome.
  • Whilst also at Point Cook College I was a part of a community action project where myself and my group ran food stalls for parents and students, where we raised $5,000 for Alannah and Madeline foundation.
  • As a part of our community action project in year 10 my group and I went and volunteered at YMCA kindergarten, where we ran colouring in, Pictionary and dancing sessions with the students.
  • During shifts at Coles, I was often put in charge to look after the customer service team when the managers are on break or away for the day. This was a great opportunity for myself to build upon my leadership and delegating skills.
  • Whilst at YMCA i got the chance to be acting coordinator at the Point Cook and Featherbrook site for a few days at a time. This was an amazing opportunity for myself to gain valuable skills about leadership and managing a team.
