Ashley is an experienced Graduate of Architecture with almost 7 years of industry experience. He has experience in complex residential design, multi-residential developments, historic restoration projects and commercial buildings. Ashley has worked on numerous projects across the east coast of Australia and is currently working towards obtaining his registration as an Architect in Queensland. After completing his Masters of Architecture at QUT, Brisbane - Ashley is eager to further develop his skills and his professional expertise in a team of like minded individuals who are passionate about Architecture and sustainable design. Ashley's goal is to contribute meaningfully to the built environment by applying his skills, expanding his knowledge, and delivering beautiful, sustainable design projects as a registered architect.

  • Whilst completing my bachelors of Architecture at QUT, I worked in a small Architecture firm in Brisbane. This firm primarily worked with existing houses designing renovations for expanding families and building alterations for restoration works.
  • Collaborated on a variety of heritage restoration projects and new builds with difficult site constraints.
  • Participated in on-the-job training, working closely with supervisors and coworkers and asking appropriate questions.
  • Attended training courses to build understanding of processes, techniques, and industry.

  • Communication - I am able to communicate confidently with clients & colleagues and bring a wealth of practical architectural knowledge into these conversations
  • Computer Aided Design - I have a wide range of skills across multiple computer aided design software and can learn new software with ease
  • Creativity – I have a creative way of looking at problems and can imagine spaces and how they will feel and then sketch that thought into reality for the clients consideration This is also useful onsite when a quick solution is needed and a hand sketch gets everyone on the same page
  • Sketching – I have always been very confident in my drawing and sketching ability Many of my university presentations were all done by hand rather than digital I feel this is a personal connection with the design and is more emotive to the viewer
  • Rendering – I have become proficient at creating detailed concept models using sketchup, rendering these using various plugins such as enscape and then photoshopping these renders into realistic backgrounds These skills are highly sought after are really appreciated by those trying to visualize a space
