Summary

Having over thirty years of nursing experience in areas as diverse as being the CNC for the Adult Mental Health Unit to being a perioperative nurse has resulted in an increased capacity to maintain a calm and constructive approach during critical situations.

The most recent role as Clinical Lead, I was called upon to rectify a situation where there was strong disagreement between CHS and two community sector partners. I implemented solutions which didn't just resolve the situations but actually improved the partnerships and greatly assisted the staff.

The RN Emeritus role would again provide the opportunity to support and nurture less experienced nursing staff. I greatly enjoyed the mentoring/preceptorship aspect of the senior roles that I have been in and was able to form great relationships with all the staff that I was responsible for.

Both managers and staff report that I am a employee/manager who delivers what I say I am going to deliver.

When managing people my belief is that everyone deserves to be acknowledged, listened to and treated with respect.

Additionally one needs to be open to new ideas and to be creative, approaching life with a passionate non judgemental manner. I understand how values differ from goals and am proud of my reputation for putting others first regardless of their presentation or role.
