I taught Prep for 1 year and 6 months at the beginning of my teaching career. This year, I have been teaching Grade One. The following points are an overview of daily duties I implemented into my teaching:

• Drove student learning and engagement by establishing clear learning intentions and success criteria.
• Created safe and friendly learning environments where students were provided with spaces and areas in the classroom to meet their social and emotional needs.
• Differentiated learning for an inclusive education by scaffolding work according to each students' specific needs. The use of hands-on and real world materials are constantly incorporated into lessons to foster student curiosity and an interest in learning. Additionally, this allows for for students to build a solid foundation of understanding concepts through the use of physical manipulatives.
• Reinforced positive behavior by encouraging efforts through affirmation statements and praising accomplishments.
• Provided warm, supportive environment for developing academic, social and emotional growth.
• Established open communication and positive relationships with students, parents, peers and administrative staff.
