Asmita Bhattarai

Third-year student currently studying Bachelor of Nursing at the University of New England. Have successfully completed a Diploma of Nursing from Western Sydney TAFE. I’m an Enrolled Nurse who wishes to finish my bachelor’s degree by the end of this year (October) and I would like to focus on providing health care services to people for their well-being. I am willing to continue my learning process and upgrade my skills to promote the health and well-being of individuals and community. I will demonstrate and apply an understanding of professional regulation, identify the roles and contributions of the health members and social care team, contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, communicate effectively with individuals and asses their ongoing health-care need, monitor, and report any problems with this aspect of care and apply an understanding of legal and ethical framework in practice.

• Assisted around 4-6 patients daily.
• Provided handover of each patient and residents
• Presented in-service training about atrial fibrillation treatment and wound treatment.
• Chronic wound management and dressing applied.
• Assess patients' physical and mental status.
• Assisted residents with treatments, therapies, and interventions to improve mobility, social/cognitive skills, and cardiovascular health.
• Demonstrated competent practice and effective communication skills.

I am friendly, honest, hardworking, reliable, respectful, and a good team player. At university I enjoy learning and am keen on observing the demonstration shown by the tutor particularly during clinical practice unit. I believe in empowering individuals by delivering the best nursing and healthcare that will enhance wellness and quality of daily life.
