Sensor Shoes for Gait Correction in Parkinson's Disease - UOW Biomedical Engineering
Designed a prototype concept for sensor-integrated footwear to monitor and assist gait correction in Parkinson's patients. Integrated pressure sensors, microcontroller signal processing, wireless communication, and real-time feedback to reduce fall risk and support mobility. Produced a detailed engineering design report addressing technical feasibility, sustainability, and potential clinical applications.
Nanoparticle-Infused Hydrogels for Bone Regeneration - UOW Biomedical Engineering
Researched the role of hydrogel-nanoparticle composites in supporting osteoregeneration and tissue engineering. Critical evaluation of biocompatibility and effects of particle size on mechanical properties based on peer-reviewed studies. Assessed applications in drug delivery, scaffolding, and controlled BMP-2 release systems for bone healing.
