Accountable for the strategic direction, leadership and operation of Energy Queensland's (Yurika) metering business, operating nationally in the provision of innovative metering and customer data solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Business development, marketing and customer relationship activities;
  • Product development and lifecycle management;
  • Resource planning, program management and development of work practices that enable safe and efficient delivery of digital metering solutions and associated programs of work;
  • Supply chain management across hardware, systems and field service provision;
  • Operation and maintenance of meter asset fleet;
  • Commercial activities including contract management, billing, revenue growth and cost reduction initiatives; and
  • Risk and compliance.

Key Achievements:

  • Planned and led the entry into new residential metering market in 2017, transforming business from installing an average of 5K meters p.a. to 140K meters p.a, materially increasing national market share and increasing revenue from $21M p.a. to $60M+ p.a;
  • Led digital transformation of business through implementation of new integrated back-office systems, reducing costs-to-serve and enabling digital-first customer experience;
  • Developed and led implementation of operational cost-reduction plan across field delivery, asset hardware and indirect support costs that achieved a 15% reduction in total annual expenditure for metering business.

Key Achievements:

  • Developed and implemented Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) which enabled automated transactional data analytics to identify and report financial control breakdowns and indicators of fraud in near real time. At the time of leaving this role, the CCM tool had returned financial benefits of approximately $1M (4 x the initial investment).
