I have worked extensively in Health and Education for the past 30 years. As a current MICA paramedic and Clinician I have developed excellent clinical care skills, resolved medical emergencies, improved patient satisfaction whilst meeting operational key performance indicators.
As a clinician, I have provided medical advice to ESTA call takers and paramedic crews; providing clinical oversight to jobs to ensure the patient receives the best care possible. This involves planning, liaising with various stakeholders, consultation and providing clinical advice.
I have taught public first aid, university students and graduate paramedics. Tailoring their learning needs to match outcomes prescribed by their institution's framework. This was highlighted as a senior lecturer at Australian Catholic University teaching Paramedic students.
As a Triage Practitioner, I provided secondary triage tailoring medical solutions to the patient's needs and collaborating with alternate care pathways in the community.
Prior to this, I was a registered nurse at Monash Emergency Department and Royal Melbourne Intensive care unit in Melbourne working collaboratively with other allied professions fostering relationships in a continuum of care.
In 2017 I was the recipient of Best Care award for Ambulance Victoria for my project on " patients we attended, but not transported". This work help provided Ambulance Victoria with background information required for Virtual ED implementation.
I am passionate about education and delivery of best care to the community and improving health outcomes. My experience in the health care sector is diverse leading to a well informed decisions regarding patient care.
